Young Talent Meeting: a look back at FitX’s apprentice day at Alma Park

FitX’s Young Talent Meeting was a special occasion: more than 200 apprentices from across Germany came together at Alma Park in Gelsenkirchen for a day of action, fun and inspiration. With its wide range of attractions, Europe’s largest indoor leisure park provided the setting for taking on new challenges, building team spirit and getting to know one another. For many apprentices, it was a highlight of their training year: a memorable day that showed there is much more to an apprenticeship at FitX than the daily job.

A great start to a day of adventure

The excitement was clear as soon as the apprentices arrived at Alma Park. The relaxed atmosphere and unusual activities made it easy to leave everyday pressures behind and get involved. FitX had planned a varied programme, from laser tag and escape rooms to mini golf and virtual reality, combining fun with a challenge. Teamwork, a sense of belonging and plenty of action set the tone for the day, and participants quickly got into the team spirit.

Challenges at Alma Park: excitement and team building

Among the highlights were the team challenges prepared by FitX and Alma Park. Working in small groups gave the apprentices opportunities to support and encourage one another. The laser tag challenge was a particular favourite, putting tactics and communication to the test: who could think quickly, move skilfully and coordinate the team? In a game where every player matters, the apprentices soon discovered the value of working together and what they could achieve by pulling in the same direction.

The escape rooms were equally exciting. Patience, logic and creative problem-solving were essential as groups tackled puzzles together to find their way out of the mysterious rooms. As well as being great fun, these challenges called for clear thinking and teamwork under pressure: useful lessons to take back to work.

Learning and making connections in a relaxed setting

Alongside the activities, the Young Talent Meeting gave apprentices time to talk and make connections with colleagues. For many, it was their first chance to meet apprentices from other branches and discuss shared experiences and challenges. These conversations offered inspiration and the beginnings of new friendships. Alma Park’s relaxed atmosphere and engaging activities made it easy to strike up a conversation.

FitX also arranged coaching sessions and short, inspiring talks that encouraged participants to think about their careers and the goals they wanted to achieve. Advice and insights from experienced trainers and coaches provided fresh motivation and perspectives on their training and professional future.
