It was a sunny Friday morning when I opened my inbox to find an invitation to my stag party. 'Ready for action?' it asked. I knew the day would be an adventure.
Our first stop was a pitch set up for bubble football. After a warm welcome, we climbed into large, transparent inflatable bubbles that covered our upper bodies. Just getting them on had us laughing.
We stumbled, rolled and laughed our way around the pitch, trying to score while our friends bumped us off course. It was physical and energetic, with each tumble adding to the laughter and the sense of being in it together.
After a welcome break, we moved on to paintball. Wearing protective masks and overalls and carrying our markers, we got ready for a more tactical game. Teams watched one another closely, waiting for the right moment to move.
Moving around the field, taking cover and trying to mark opponents was exciting. Each successful shot left a splash of colour. Despite the competition, the mood stayed friendly, with plenty of laughter even when we were hit.
We finished in the sports bar over cold beers and food, sharing stories and highlights. We agreed that the day had been full of fun, friendship and moments we would remember.
Looking back, bubble football and paintball were a great combination for our stag party. Physical activity, strategy and shared laughter brought us closer together and made the day special.
It was more than one last celebration before the wedding. It was a chance to enjoy our friendship, take on challenges together and have fun. That is what I will remember.
