A visit to Alma Park in Gelsenkirchen had been on our wish list for a long time. When we heard about the Ferienflat during the winter holidays, offering the chance to try a range of activities in one day, we did not hesitate. We also decided to finish the day with an escape room adventure. Here is our account of an action-packed day at Alma Park.
Morning: arrival and laser tag
We could feel the excitement as soon as we arrived at Alma Park. Our first stop was the Laserdome for a game of laser tag. The fast-paced action was the perfect start to the day and soon brought out our competitive side.
Later that morning: paintball and adventure golf
After laser tag, we headed straight to paintball for some action and a rush of adrenaline. Next came adventure golf. The unusual mix of adventure golf and UV mini golf was a real highlight.
Lunchtime: the trampoline park and bubble football
After a short break, we visited the trampoline park, where the children in particular could burn off some energy. Then it was time for bubble football. Bouncing one another around the pitch had us all laughing.
Afternoon: Arrowtag and Poolball
The afternoon brought more action and fun. Arrowtag was completely new to us: we took aim at one another with bows and arrows. We rounded off our Ferienflat session with Poolball, an unusual combination of pool and football.
Late afternoon: an escape room adventure
When our four-hour Ferienflat session ended, we still had something special to look forward to: an escape room. Teamwork and puzzle-solving skills were essential as we worked against the clock to solve clues and escape. It was the perfect end to an exciting day.
Give it a go
Our day at Alma Park was a great success. The Ferienflat let us try a wide range of activities, and the escape room afterwards was the finishing touch. It is a day we will remember for a long time.
