Escape Room FAQs
Guide & FAQs
What is an escape room?
An escape room is a shared adventure in which you work as a team to solve puzzles, discover clues and complete different challenges. You will need logical thinking, a keen eye and teamwork.
Alma Park has a range of escape adventures with different stories, settings and challenges. Alongside our traditional escape rooms, Sir Peter Morgan’s Escape Adventure offers a walkthrough experience in which you play through several rooms in succession and earn points.
What kinds of puzzles will I encounter?
That is part of the mystery! Depending on the room, you can expect logic puzzles, hidden clues, combination puzzles, and mechanical and technical challenges. Light, sound, objects and interactive features may all play a part.
The challenges vary considerably from one story and room to another. Sir Peter Morgan’s Escape Adventure also has numerous puzzles and different variations, so you may encounter new challenges when you play again.
How long does an escape room take?
In our traditional Live Escape rooms, you have up to 60 minutes to solve the puzzles together and complete your mission. Before you play, you will receive a briefing explaining how the game works and the most important rules.
In Sir Peter Morgan’s Escape Adventure, you work your way through five different rooms. You have seven minutes in each room to complete as many challenges as possible and collect points, giving you 35 minutes of playing time in total.
What happens when time runs out?
Our traditional escape room games end after a maximum of 60 minutes. Do not worry if you have not solved every puzzle by then. The game will finish, and you can ask any remaining questions afterwards.
Sir Peter Morgan’s Escape Adventure works a little differently: you do not have to solve every puzzle in a room. After seven minutes, your time in that room ends and you move straight on to the next challenge. Every task you have completed successfully counts towards your score.
Can I play an escape room more than once?
Of course, you can play our traditional escape rooms more than once. However, the puzzles and sequence of events stay the same, so we recommend trying one of our other rooms after your first adventure.
Sir Peter Morgan’s Escape Adventure, on the other hand, is designed to be played again. Its many puzzles and different variations mean you may discover new challenges on later visits. You can also compete again to beat your previous high score.
Will I need to crawl or climb?
That depends on the room and its setting. Some of our adventures include unusual passageways.
Sir Peter Morgan’s Escape Adventure includes two short sections where you need to crawl. You do not need to climb. The puzzles and game elements are positioned so that they can be solved without climbing.
Do I need physical strength to solve the puzzles?
No. Our escape rooms are about thinking, observation and teamwork. If something will not move, open or operate with a normal or gentle amount of force, forcing it is not the answer.
Please treat the props, technology and scenery with care, and look for another way to solve the puzzle.
Are escape rooms dangerous?
Our escape rooms are designed to let you focus on the puzzles and enjoy the adventure together. Before you play, we explain the most important rules and safety instructions.
If you need to leave a room during the game, there are ways to do so, including marked exits where applicable.
What makes Sir Peter Morgan’s Escape Adventure different?
Sir Peter Morgan’s Escape Adventure combines escape puzzles with points and high scores. You work your way through five rooms with different settings, with seven minutes in each to complete as many challenges as you can.
You do not need to solve every puzzle to move on. Each successfully completed task earns you points. When time runs out, you head straight into the next room.
With numerous puzzles and different variations, the adventure is designed to be played again. Your goal is to improve your high score and prove you have what it takes to join the Sir Peter Morgan Detective Agency.
Who are escape rooms suitable for?

The best room for your group will depend on factors such as the players' ages, your group size, and whether you prefer adventure, suspense or a slightly spooky atmosphere.
Are the escape rooms scary?
That depends on the room you choose. Some stories have a dark or slightly spooky atmosphere, while others focus more on adventure and puzzles.
Read the description of each escape room before booking and choose the adventure that best suits your group.
How many people can play together?
Group sizes vary by escape room. You will find the exact minimum and maximum numbers in each room's description and booking details.
