Laser Tag Questions and Answers
Guide & FAQs
Laser tag is a great game with friends, for a party or with people you've just met. It's easy to learn. These tips and tactics will help you start scoring points.
- Is there a level system that lets you earn more points?
Some arenas offer player cards that can help you earn additional points. - Study a Map of the Arena.
Knowing the layout gives you an advantage. - Dress for the Game
Most arenas are dimly lit and use UV lighting. Wear dark colours and avoid bright logos or decorations. - Read the Rules and Game Instructions
Each venue has its own setup and equipment. - Once You're Equipped
Give your eyes time to adjust to the dark arena. - Find a Good Starting Position
Look for cover and avoid bunching together with other players. Some arenas have fixed starting points. - Think About When to Move
If you go first, you may not know where your opponents are. If you wait until last, they may already have spotted your starting position and taken the best cover. - Use Cover Wisely
Balance movement with time behind cover. Look around before moving forward and avoid revealing your position unnecessarily. - Get a Feel for Your Tagger
Aim at a wall and move the tagger to see how it responds. Adjust your aim if needed. - Aim for Your Opponents' Sensors
Know where the scoring zones are. Pointing in the general direction won't give you the best result. - If You're Tagged, Find Cover
Move away from the player who tagged you. If your tagger needs to recharge, tell your teammates where the opponent is. Good communication helps your team succeed. - After the Game
Check the scores and discuss what you could improve with your team. - Look for Flashing Lights.
Sensors on laser-tag equipment light up. If you see lights approaching, stay calm, keep quiet and aim carefully. - Move with a Plan
Stay calm and keep a low profile when appropriate. Standing tall or moving carelessly makes you easier to spot and tag. - Avoid Being Spotted
Staying out of sight can help you score more points while giving fewer away. - Coordinate as a Team
For Example: one player can distract opponents while teammates approach from other directions. - Wear Comfortable Clothes and Dark Shoes.
Choose clothes that allow you to move freely. - Check for Bonus Targets
Some arenas have targets that earn extra points. Others may act as in-game mines or traps.
